SEEN recently had the great pleasure of meeting the founder of Roses Only, Danielle Gubbay, and hearing all about her luxury enterprise. It’s said that roses and works of art are beautiful in themselves; there’s definitely something ‘ultimate’ about a rose. SEEN Chooses Trainspotting 2

Fans of the original, which changed the way heroin addiction was viewed (at least cinematically), will be craving the long-awaited sequel, also directed by Danny Boyle, which sees Renton (Ewen McGregor), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) reunited after the betrayal of twenty years ago.

SEEN was intrigued to hear that supermodel Kate Moss has opened her own agency. Eschewing the usual ‘pretty faces’, Moss has declared that she’s on the lookout for real talent: people who can model, act, sing and dance. Her first female model is Elfie Reigate, Moss’s bridesmaid and daughter of Rosemary Ferguson, an old friend of the supermodel for years. Elfie joins male model Louis Baines, a Topman star.

Nobel Prize Winner Bob Dylan: Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1966

50 years after it took place, the recording of Bob Dylan’s mythical Albert Hall show will be officially released for the first time in November, alongside a huge new 36-CD box set, The 1966 Live Recordings. This release coincides with Dylan being awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, which was announced in Stockholm on Thursday, 13th October.

Fighting for fabric

After the shut-down of the famed fabric nightclub last September, many voices have risen against the authorities’ decision to revoke its license following the tragic and unnecessary deaths of two teenagers from suspected drug overdoses, earlier this year. Islington council justified this decision arguing that the venue had a “culture of drug use” which its staff was “incapable of controlling”.
