Mixing One Million Gin & Tonics for World Malaria Day

SEEN has heard glorious news on the charitable front: to coincide with World Malaria Day on 25th April, Fever-Tree is aiming to mix 1 million G&Ts globally, committing to donate 20p from each drink to Malaria No More UK. Supported by limited edition collared bottles of Fever-Tree tonic water, which will be available throughout the month of April in selected retailers, the campaign is rooted in a shared desire to end malaria and will result in a guaranteed donation of £200,000 to the charity.

LGBT Videos Restricted on Youtube

Despite the democratisation of the internet, lauded by many as a triumph for marginalised voices, YouTube seems very contrary in the taking down of LGBT content. YouTube is a platform where LGBTQ+ vloggers can connect with others all over the world, providing a much-needed forum of support and visibility, particularly for young people. However, it seems that YouTube filters out much of this content as it is deemed ‘unsuitable’ for families and children.

Trainspotting’s Irvine Welsh to Co-write TV Series Ibiza87

It’s easy to forget that the thriving club and house scene of today had its beginnings in Ibiza acid house in 1987. Who better to give us their take on those times than former enfant terrible Irvine Welsh? He gave us the literary cultural icon of his novel, ‘Trainspotting’, later immortalised in film by Danny Boyle. He’ll be co-writing with ex-music journalist Danny Kavanagh.
