SEEN reviews: Daawat at the Strand Palace Hotel

SEEN and her guest ventured forth last night to the elegant Strand Palace Hotel – so well placed for Covent Garden, Theatreland and all the delights of Central London – to sample the cuisine at the spacious Daawat’s, which you can access through the luxurious hotel, and via its own vibrant red entrance in Burleigh Street. SEEN was particularly keen to try the dinner menu, boasting as it does the talents of Keralan Head Chef Asharaf Valappil, who recently won Best Chef at The Curry Life Awards 2016.

Rock the Strand: a Showcase for London’s Emerging Talent

SEEN will be in attendance for the inaugural showcase of the best musical talent to emerge in London. Kicking off on the 23rd February, Rock the Strand will take place on the fourth Thursday of every month in the Strand Palace Hotel’s newly refurbished Lounge Bar. It will be free to attend and revellers will be able to enjoy tipples from the bar’s extensive menu. The Strand Palace Hotel is rapidly becoming a go-to destination for music, food and cocktail lovers, making it an exciting place to stay.

Tony Moore: Renaissance Man of Rock

SEEN had the pleasure of catching up with musician, singer, actor and organiser of #RocktheStrand at last Thursday’s gig (which featured Natalie Shay and April), Tony Moore. Tony was an original member of Iron Maiden and joined Cutting Crew (‘I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight’). He’s acted in Crocodile Shoes with Jimmy Nail, and a comedy feature: Mr Rudolpho’s Jubilee and is permanently engaged in his own musical career as well as discovering and promoting new musical talent at venues like the Strand Palace Hotel.
