SEEN is very excited about the European premiere of Björk Digital, an exhibition of digital and video works, resulting from Björk’s collaborations with some of the finest visual artists and programmers in the world, and coinciding with a special performance at the Royal Albert Hall. This immersive VR exhibition will take place from 1st September to 23rd October 2016, at Somerset House.

Sónar Barcelona 2017: ‘The’ Music Festival

June is the time to visit Barcelona, including SEEN’s favourite place, the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion (where a sound installation will be on show) for the celebration of the 24th edition of Sónar, Barcelona’s pioneering event and international dance and electronic music festival. It will be taking place for a whole week, from the 12th to the 18th of June.

Somerset House: Hair by Sam McKnight

Hair by Sam McKnight is a new exhibition at Somerset House that celebrates the work of one of the most accomplished and well-respected hair stylists of his generation. This exhibition, now on display until 12th March 2017, reveals the little-known creative process behind the craft of hairstyling, tracing the legacy of hairstyling from the 1070’s to today, featuring iconic fashion photographs, couture garments, wigs, hairpieces and film and audio installations. It contextualises the wider cultural significance of hair, and the silent but key role of the session stylist within fashion.
