Gemma Rogers releases debut track ‘Stop’

West London singer, storyteller Gemma Rogers unveiled her debut track ‘Stop’ on 29th June on Spotify & ITunes. As part of a 5-track EP due for full release this October, ‘Stop’ will be accompanied by an additional track ‘My Idea of Fun’. If there’s single that’s the sound of the summer – ‘Stop’ is it, in SEEN’s estimation.

After a triumphant couple of years performing in and around the UK and the festival circuit including Glastonbury (Down the Rabbit Hole), Wilderness and Latitude, ‘Stop’ is a chronicle of the highs and lows of living in the capital and the inescapable social media frenzy world. Expect a musical explosion of playful lyrics fused with a darker undertone, accompanied with a humorous video, almost guaranteed to uplift your mood.

The multi-talented Gemma has written a number of short plays including a one-woman mini-folk-musical which was brought to Latitude, Wilderness and also had a sell-out run at Theatre503. She was part of the Emerging writers Group at the Bush Theatre and has set up a company that delivers engaging workshops to accompany the National Curriculum. Gemma’s musical inspirations stem from the likes of Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Ian Dury and the UK hip hop scene.
