Truefitt & Hill X Dalmore Whiskey: The Art of the Cut-throat Razor

Now here’s something that SEEN has always wanted to learn more about: how one uses a cut-throat razor. It’s all part of current masterclasses in and around the St James’s area of London.

So tonight SEEN is off to the esteemed Truefitt & Hill, purveyors (by appointment to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh) of luxury grooming products to the discerning gentleman AND the world’s oldest barbershop, who will be hosting a cut-throat razor masterclass in collaboration with the Whiskey Shop, who will offer tastings of their heritage brand Dalmore Whisky. 3-time Olympic Rower Pete Reed OBE will be the guest of honour and model for the first demonstration, followed by Polar Explorer Alex Hibbert for demonstration 2.

The ceramics herein are beautiful, strange, monumental, quirky or minimalist but having drawn the reader in, the book asks the pertinent question: are art and craft completely separate in their aesthetic and cultural sensibilities? Why does the word ‘potter’ conjure up thoughts of whimsy and low-cultural activity? Grayson …
