888 Collective to host first pop up at The Dusty Knuckle Bakery

SEEN had the pleasure last week of meeting the dynamic and resourceful Jana Dowling, CEO of the 888 Collective operating in London Fields. The collective is a social enterprise supporting people with mental health issues, specifically through workshops and initiatives that get people back on their feet and support them as they find employment and get their lives back on track. Jana herself has personal experience of MH issues and spoke to SEEN very much from the heart; this is a subject she is truly passionate about. Amongst her many plans is the development of an app that can aid users in the recognition and treatment of their own MH symptoms. Exciting stuff. 888 Collective has a shop and actively encourages the creative spirit in their clients.

888L8s are a series of quirky Pop Ups where dining and socialising is the order of the day, staffed by by some of 888’s clients. They’re kicking off on the 26th of April at The Dusty Knuckle Bakery in Dalston. Headed up by Chef Jack Ellingham, the 888 staff will be serving up his New York inspired Pizza and small plates of Italian food. You can either get two or three courses and the doors will open at 7:30pm.

Ticket Prices:
2 Courses for £20.00
3 Courses for £25.00

the menu looks scrumptious: Gnudi with brown butter, asparagus, and Cheese findue pizza, amongst other delicious options… with tiramisu for pudding.

Book here and buon appetito.
