Lungs of London: The Floating Meadow and Chill Garden at Paddington Central

SEEN is looking forward to visiting the latest initiative from Paddington Central – a floating oasis of wildflowers and grasses on the Paddington Pioneer, currently moored at this fast-emerging must-see/do/work/enjoy destination.

Hello Spring Campaign. Paddington Basin. 21/03/2018

The Floating Meadow launched on World Planting Day on March 21st, in collaboration with Clifton Nurseries, the horticultural and landscaping specialists Clifton Nurseries, who are based in Little Venice. Pop Ups and talks by the author of ‘How to Grow Stuff’, Alice Vincent have been taking place on the boat and 2000 free wellbeing plants have been given to local residents, workers and visitors; greenery and good air quality being vital to denizens of London. The more plants and flowers we grow the better for all of us. This should be a lovely addition to the urban landscape throughout what promises to be a hot summer.
