Art on a Postcard Presents their Secret Auction at The Other Art Fair

Regular readers of SEEN will know that we just love the charitable initiatives set up by Art on a Postcard. They bring art lovers (and it must be said, auction-lovers) together for the support of the Hepatitis C Trust, which is dedicated to raising awareness, ending discrimination and being a hub for information and representation for people living with the disease.

So, at The Other Art Fair from 22nd to 25th March, Art on a Postcard will be bringing a splendid line-up of artists, including Paula Rego, Brian Sayers, Billy Childish and Lubiana Himid, all of whom will be making their debut.

Art on a Postcard has raised over half a million pounds for The Hepatitis C Trust, enabling their quest for the disease’s eradication to gather pace – the NHS has already struck a deal with the pharmaceutical industry to provide affordable treatment for all.

Everyone is welcome to view the cards at Victoria House in Southampton Row. A list of artists can be seen at Art on a Postcard’s website, but remember – the artwork remains anonymous until the bidding has finished. The auction will take place on the Sunday afternoon. Grab your paddle and get ready to own some fabulous art at bargain prices. Happy bidding.

Three Cities: New Photographs from Niall O’Brien

SEEN is looking forward to seeing a new exhibition of photographs taken in the beating heart of America’s Silicon Valley, a place that by Niall O’Brien’s account was packed to the gills with cutting-edge technology yet had no aesthetic at all – except for the surrounding mountains and opportunistic nature. O’Brien spent four months living …
