I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside: Dock & Bay’s ‘Colour of Summer’ Campaign

The kind people at Dock and Bay have given SEEN one of their microfibre towels to try out. Resplendent in stripes of purple and white, it is a very luxurious item, more like a finely woven sheet than a traditional towel. It’s large so you can wrap yourself up in it and super-absorbent. The great advantage is that it dries quickly and – a big plus for SEEN – folds up very small, so is ideal when you’re travelling away from home. It even comes with its own handy travel bag, which we imagine makes it a hit with yoga enthusiasts and the ever-growing tribe of urban runners, never mind taking them on holiday.

SEEN also had the great pleasure of attending the launch of Dock & Bay’s new competition at Bounce in Old Street. They are on the lookout for brand ambassadors: 3 pairs of friends will be flown out for an all-inclusive stay week’s stay in a dream villa in Bali. The 6 ambassadors will be the stars in the ‘Colour of Summer’ campaign. Deborah Meaden from Dragon’s Den was on hand to lend support for the evening, saying that the reason she’d invested in the company was because Directors of Dock & Bay Andy and his partner Ben were people she could work with, who were genuinely passionate about their product.

‘We started exploring how we could create a unique marketing campaign in 2018 and above all, we wanted authenticity, that’s how the Colour of Summer villa came to us. We want to put together everyday people that share the same fun loving, adventurous attributes as the brand, and see what unfolds.’ Andy said.

Andy was enthusiastic in his description of what would be available to the guests in their Bali villa: huge outdoor pool, lush gardens, a private chef, waterfalls, yoga… a truly unique experience awaits the lucky winners.

All you have to do is sign up with your bestie on Dock & Bay’s website with your Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and tell them about your most adventurous experience in less than 100 words. You have until 10pm on Thursday 28th February.

New Wave Clay: Ceramic Design, Art and Architecture by Tom Morris – SEEN Reviews

This lavishly photographed book is very seductive. Why does the word ‘potter’ conjure up thoughts of whimsy and low-cultural activity? Grayson …
