New Year’s Eve: MNKY HSE

If you haven’t yet checked it out, MNKY HSE in Mayfair is a stylish restaurant and bar, serving high quality, contemporary Latin American cuisine alongside regular live music performances and late night DJ sets. Michelin-trained Executive Head-Chef, Pablo Peñalosa-Nájera, [‘Restaurante Martín Berasategui’ and ‘El Cellar de Can Roca’], re-visits his indigenous roots and combines colourful Latin American cuisine with seasonal ingredients, to create a diverse, distinctive and flavoursome menu.

In keeping with the MNKY HSE ethos of ‘eat, drink and play’ – Pablo’s experimental dishes are destined to share, surprise and delight. This is evident in several of the HSE’s signature dishes from the Chu-Toro Tartar, to the Smoked Heirloom Tomatoes. Other HSE favourites include the YellowTail Aguachile and Mnky Black Cod.

This year, MNKY HSE will be celebrating the Nu-Year with a Nu-Disco theme.

As guests look to the future, they will be transported to a past decade, as the last few hours of December 2017 will see disco balls (instead of baubles), dancing, dinner and more.

The HSE will host two dinner seatings, both offering a choice of two different festive, four-course menus (£125pp/ £150pp), to include a glass of champagne on arrival. A vegetarian option (£90pp) will also be available.

Dishes will include Kumamoto Oysters and Beluga Caviar Tostadas to start, followed by exquisite mains, such as; Wagyu Tataki, Yellow Tail Ceviche, Sincronisadas (Pico de Gallo, Oaxaca Cheese) and Black Cod.

Boasting an amazing live act – the soulful singer, Frida Touray (previously toured with Cold Play and Lianne La Havis) alongside The MNKY HSE band (Basement Jaxx), as well as several sets from the HSE’s resident DJs –  the evening’s line-up is guaranteed to get guests MNKYing around.

As the final countdown ends, the real fun will begin: glitter balls will be set off, the DJ booth set on fire, and the dance floor will really heat up.

MNKY HSE’s Bar Manager, Javier Escribano, has also created a very special countdown cocktail for the evening, the ‘Midnight MNKY’.  Sure to have every guest dancing till dawn, the energy-fuelled elixir will be a sparkling blend of Ciroc Berry Vodka, strawberry purée, Vanilla de Madagascar Liqueur and prosecco. Early dinner from 6 – 9pm. Late dinner from 9.30pm – close.
