Burberry to Bid Farewell to Christopher Bailey

Having grown Burberry from a small label associated with outerwear to a luxury worldwide brand, Christopher Bailey, the Chief Creative Officer is to step down in that role at the end of 2018, though he will remain during the transition to his successor.

It’s amazing to think he’s been guiding Burberry for 17 years, most recently with Marco Gobbetti, CEO: ‘the company will go from strength to strength with the strategy we have developed and the exceptional talent we have in place led by Marco,’ Bailey commented.

As Bailey departs for new creative projects, the brand faces an exciting future with Gobbetti at the helm and of course, Bailey’s successor. Watch this space.
