Number 90 Bar & Kitchen’s Bank Holiday Weekender

SEEN loves the canal-side at Hackney Wick and will be sampling the revels that are planned for the coming Bank Holiday Weekend at Number 90 Bar & Kitchen. Guests will partake of live art, music, record stalls, amazing performances and, of course, delicious food and drink offerings. Number 90 prides itself on its inclusive ethos in Hackney Wick, and it’s great to think there’s a festival you can attend that doesn’t involve travelling for miles.

The legendary Rough Trade will provide the soundtrack for the opening night on Friday 25th where friends, family and press will party until the early hours. SEEN will be in attendance. Live painting is promised.

The fun continues the next day with Number 90’s bottomless Prosecco brunches. Expect Eggs Benedict with bacon, and Smashed Avocado on sourdough with chilli, washed down with Prosecco; hair of the dog and all that… Music will be provided by DJ Mohsen Stars with House Clearance House Party taking the baton later on. Guests can also take home the DJ’s vinyl collection as they play it.

Outside, Koncept Music will be treating guests with an eclectic selection of records to browse through and the Glitter Station will be there to make you feel like you’re in Ibiza. House and techno fun is provided by Number 90 favourites Half Baked in a ticketed event lasting from 11pm to 6am.

On Sunday, guests can relax and enjoy the terrace whilst indulging in a roast dinner: slow roasted aged topside beef for the carnivores, whilst the vegetarians can enjoy homemade beetroot, mushroom and spinach wellington. As it’s also National Burger Day on the Sunday, burger enthusiasts can celebrate with Number 90’s exclusive burger plus a variety of accompaniments to include vegan salads.

In the evening, The Knox and Callum Chynoweth will be delighting revellers with live performances. Phonica Records will take you through to the early hours, with free entry until 4am. A Piñata is promised as are entertainers disguised as unicorns, so get ready for some interactive games. Cocktails will of course be available. Try a ‘Garden Spritz’ – strawberry, cucumber, Boxer gin, soda and Prosecco.

If you lasted the whole weekend, then congratulate yourself on Bank Holiday Monday with 2-for-1 Bloody Marys. Jamie King and the Folkies will be soothing your ears with relaxing tunes to accompany your recovery.

Friday 25th August – Monday 28th August
Friday: 7pm – 1am
