Brand New Moon Release Debut Single ‘Spinning Coin’ 18th August

Brand New Moon, the new project from ex-Fiction frontman Mike Barrett, are set to release a debut single on the 18th of August 2017.

SEEN has been enjoying ‘Spinning Coin’, the follow up to the recently shared release, ‘A Movie’. The new single will be available digitally at all the usual the major outlets and is accompanied by a compelling and original lyric video. Sampled spinning coin sounds and dreamy vocals with syncopated drums create a calming, hypnotic soundscape that draws your thoughts to the sea. It’s very much the sound of the summer.

Recorded and self-produced in his London studio, the new track sees the singer-songwriter joined by his regular musical collaborators Rob Shuttz (bass) and Meg Woof (vocals). A sublime and innovative serving of future – perfect pop, ‘Spinning Coin’ is the first indication of what to expect from the forthcoming debut album, which is set for release in the Autumn.

Brand New Moon, who have so far only played a handful of London shows over the last few months, are set to announce details of a special live date to coincide with the single release in August – more details to follow.
