Jaga Jazzist to Headline the ‘In The Round’ Series at London’s Roundhouse

Jaga Jazzist, one of the most celebrated and influential of Norway’s post-jazz bands, will be debuting at Roundhouse’s ‘In The Round’ Series on 27th January, 2017. The Roundhouse, one of the best performing arts spaces, and a hub of inspiration for artists in London, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, by announcing the return of ‘In the Round’, a series of intimate performances set in the iconic Main Space.

Jaga have always been known for having created a sound unlike anyone else, with influences by artists as diverse as Gil Evans, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Tortoise, Oslo 13, Motorpsycho, Fela Kuti & Steve Reich. Their live shows are driven by an arsenal of multi-instrumentalists who give their music a hypnotic intensity that brings the music to powerful life.

For this special performance and Roundhouse debut, expect to hear music from their recent electronic-heavy, Ninja Tune release: ‘Starfire’, alongside hits from their illustrious back catalogue.
