Camino Bankside’s Winter Lodge: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

SEEN has been enjoying Camino Bankside’s garden and its perfect gin & tonics all summer long. A visit to Camino’s Winter Lodge, launched on Wednesday 9th November, is a great way to get into the festive spirit. Decorated with hanging lanterns, parasols, tree garlands, Christmas trees and, of course, plenty of fairy lights, the Winter Lodge outdoor bar serves a selection of classic festive drinks, including Spiced Sangria (made with Licor 43, orange juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, Cava, Whitley Neill, green apple and Rame), and mulled wine, with blankets available to help keep your cockles warm.

Camino Bankside’s Winter Lodge, which will remain open throughout the Christmas season, is the perfect retreat to warm up and enjoy a relaxing drink under a cosy blanket, after doing your Christmas shopping at nearby Tate Modern Christmas Market, which will start on 19th November.

You can also treat yourself to a little something from Camino’s Christmas menu, and really get into the spirit of the festive season: from an indulgent sucking pig dish to a fiesta menu served canapé style, not forgetting their tasty vegetarian menu. Give your meal the happiest of endings with Tarta de Santiago (Galician almond tart with vanilla and clotted cream). Go on, it’s Christmas, you deserve it.
