Floating Table Series at Farmopolis Café

SEEN very much enjoyed The Park Table, the summer dining series held at The Magazine restaurant at Serpentine’s Sackler Gallery. Now we are looking forward to the winter series: Floating Table at Farmopolis Café, which will be celebrated in the beautiful floating garden on the Jetty at Greenwich Peninsula. Launching on Friday, 18th November, the Floating Table series will feature a fantastic line-up of chefs, from the much-loved Helena Puolakka (soon to open Aster) to new stars Marcelo Henriquez (ONA) and Andrew Clarke (the eagerly awaited Bastien).

Now we are looking forward to the winter series: Floating Table at Farmopolis Café, which will be celebrated in the beautiful floating garden on the Jetty at Greenwich Peninsula. Launching on Friday, 18th November, the Floating Table series will feature a fantastic line-up of chefs, from the much-loved Helena Puolakka (soon to open Aster) to new stars Marcelo Henriquez (ONA) and Andrew Clarke (the eagerly awaited Bastien).

Floating Table will take place on Friday nights in November, December and January. Each night, a different chef will create a stunning sharing feast served on long communal tables, surrounded by thousands of plants and trees rehomed from the latest RHS Chelsea Flower Show. With the Thames riverside as a backdrop, the Floating Table promises to be one of the best dining experiences of the festive season in London.

The first chef to be cooking this fantastic communal dinner on 18th November is Chilean-born Marcelo Henriquez, who created ONA (thus introducing Chilean food to the British table), but with a distinct modern twist. The line-up continues on 25th November with Jason Wass, from Popo; 9th December will be Helena Poulakka’s turn, from Aster; and on 13th January, Andrew Clarke, from Bastien, will be cooking. Other chefs, like Freddy Money and Paco Roncero, will also be participating. SEEN will announce exact dates as soon as they are confirmed.

Additionally, there will be a fantastic vegan, plant-based Floating Table Brunch on Sunday, 27th November with Niomi Smart, social media star and best-selling author of Eat Smart.

Helping all Floating Table chefs will be trainees from the Café from Crisis initiative, a social training enterprise.
