Those passionate about art are truly spoilt for choice this autumn with art fairs taking place all over a city already magnificently endowed with galleries and exhibitions. Universal Design Studio returned as the architects of Frieze London for the third consecutive year and introduced an improved interior, new outdoor gallery space for Frieze Projects, and a bold entryway installation. Universal was founded in 2001 by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, in response to the growing demand for their distinctive design aesthetic and clever use of material details in an architectural and interior design context. Recent visitors to the London Design Biennale will remember their monumental ‘Forecast’ installation in the courtyard.

Established in 2003, Frieze London is one of the world’s leading art Fairs and takes place each October in The iconic Regent’s Park, London. The 14th edition of Frieze London featured more than 160 of the world’s leading galleries, showcasing today’s most significant artists across its main and curated sections, alongside the fair’s celebrated non-profit programme of ambitious new artist commissions and talks. In 2016, the fair debuted a new gallery section, The Nineties, recreating seminal exhibitions from the decade, alongside the return of sections Focus and Live, the definitive platforms for emerging galleries and performance art respectively.
