Exclusive Summer Cocktails from Foxlow and Sipsmith

Once again, SEEN ventures on to the hot, thirsty streets of London to bring you the very best in summer cocktails. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it. Everywhere you look, gin cocktails seem to be the order of the day, so why not try the iconic Sipsmith brand at the Foxlow restaurants and bars in Clerkenwell, Stoke Newington (on their new terrace no less), Chiswick (also with a new terrace) and Balham? The cocktails will be available from Wednesday 6th July to Wednesday 21st September and are priced between £8 and £9.50.

Chiswick’s Sipsmith distillery has produced London Dry Gin, London Cup, Sloe Gin, Sipping Vodka and Damson Vodka. Foxlow’s bartenders (handily round the corner) have created a stunning menu of cocktails from these ingredients, perfect for Wimbledon, the Olympics or just sipping al fresco on those new terraces we just mentioned.

SEEN can’t wait to sample, well, any of them – especially when they’re available for £5 from 5 – 7pm on weekdays and Saturdays at Brunch. Never have hours been so happy. We’ll be choosing from the following:

• Chiswick Summer Punch: Prosecco, rhubarb, London Dry Gin and lemon
• 6 O’Clock Cup: Sipping vodka, watermelon, wild strawberry, bitters, and ginger ale.
• Strawberry Beret: London Dry Gin, strawberries, coconut water and Italian vermouth.
• Damson Vesper: Damson Vodka, elderflower and Whittern Farm Cassis
• Westside: London Dry Gin, lime, and fresh summer herbs.

SEEN can think of no finer combination than Sipsmith’s hand-made spirits and Foxlow’s cocktails. Pair them with Foxlow’s seasonal and locally produced food, freshly cooked and dedicated to small independent producers, and you have a memorable dining experience; no small feat in the teeming capital.

The clue is in the title: “Drink Drawings” – a new show at For.Fuk.Sake on March 29th consisting of a series of intoxicating illustrations, …

Port Cities play the Slaughtered Lamb

Canadian band PORT CITIES are still bathing in the afterglow of November’s Nova Scotia Music Week, where they scooped no less than five awards, including album of the year, digital artist of the year and entertainer of the year. SEEN has certainly been enjoying their beautiful vocals. In light of such accolades then, its only …

My Furry Lady: the Art of Marion Peck at Dorothy Circus Gallery

SEEN can safely say that there is nowhere quite like Dorothy Circus Gallery in Notting Hill. It is the very antithesis of the white, clinical art gallery that abounds in the capital. From the beautiful yet disquieting pop surrealist art that is the passion of gallery director Alexandra Mazzanti, to the welcoming gallery itself complete …
