The Last Skeptik at the Lights of Soho

Regular readers of SEEN will know that we are huge fans of the varied events that this slice of old-school Soho hosts. Next Wednesday the 8th of June sees the hip-hop DJ and producer The Last Skeptik showcase a series of his critically acclaimed cinematic music videos.

Regular readers of SEEN will know that we are huge fans of the varied events that this slice of old-school Soho hosts. Next Wednesday the 8th of June sees the hip-hop DJ and producer The Last Skeptik showcase a series of his critically acclaimed cinematic music videos. After the screening there will be a Q&A on his DIY approach and his visual album, hosted by Doc Brown (comedian, actor, and star in Skeptik’s ‘Cheerio video) and Jo Fuertes-Knight (also host of numerous Vice documentaries).

Of particular interest to SEEN readers (in this age of digital democracy) will be discussion of The Last Skeptik’s artistic process as a ‘one-man-industry’. The evening is all part of the ‘Bright Lights’ series and promises to be an unusual and highly personal evening in this intimate gallery venue.

SEEN was reminded of what a privilege it is to meet chefs and butchers who are truly passionate and single-minded about the food they prepare and cook. Thus it was at Sagardi in Shoreditch, where the ravenous foodie press was assembled earlier this week, to witness the butchery of, and subsequent cooking over a splendid barbecue grill, of a side of ox.
