Mysterious Ephemera
Jessica’s bespoke jewellery shop is to be found under the sign ‘Pianos’ on Fortess Street, close to Kentish Town tube and railway station. The light and airy shop is linked to Jessica’s workshop at the rear of the premises, via a gold-coloured circular window designed in Jessica’s unique style.

A graduate of St Martin’s, Jessica’s designs reflect her passion for narrative and ephemera, mysterious links to past eras and the unstoppable passage of time. Elegant and uncluttered, her jewellery evokes fascination with the form and a curiosity about the symbols she uses; arrows, hearts, letter stamps, and hallmarks.

Her old studio building having closed, Jessica decided to take the plunge and open her own retail space. A fast worker, she obtained the new premises in December 2015 and opened just before Valentine’s Day this year. Men and women are catered for with Jessica’s quirky and luxe creations. Quintessentially English in their feel, the jewellery makes ideal gifts for those seeking something a little different.

The shop itself has a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere thanks to the light and intimate decor that marries well with the style of Jessica’s jewellery. Jessica’s collections are displayed with a few extra props to give them context, consisting of playing cards, travel tickets from days gone by, maps and photographs from past eras, plus artefacts that contextualise Jessica’s creative process, such as a collection that was created in collaboration with a life coach, that have life-affirming inscriptions on the back to keep them, in Jessica’s words, ‘close to the heart’.
